Many autistic children do not have access to therapy that can help them lead fulfilling lives. The reason -- the high cost of intervention programmes. According to Health Ministry statistics, one out of 600 children in Malaysia is autistic.

Laporan akhbar harian Kosmo! bertarikh 27 November 2008 menyebut bahawa Negeri Sembilan mencatatkan jumlah pesakit mental, diabetes dan obesiti di kalangan orang dewasa paling tinggi di negara ini. Kes terbaru yang berlaku di negeri itu adalah di Kampung Batang Rokan, Gemencheh.
