Pusat Pemulihan Psikososial (PSR) Pasir Mas telah ditubuhkan pada Jun 2005. Kini setelah lebih setahun bergerak, jumlah peserta untuk pemulihan adalah seramai 24 orang terdiri dari 6 orang perempuan dan selebihnya adalah peserta lelaki.

In February 2004, Janssen-Cilag, the pharmaceutical division of Johnson and Johnson invited Prof. Dr Marcus Chiu from the Hong Kong Baptist University to give an interactive workshop for potential tutors of the Family-to-Family psycho-education program, now known as the Family Link Education Program.

Hospital Bahagia Ulu Kinta, the largest of 4 psychiatric institutions in Malaysia came into operation way back in 1911. Then, it had a population of about 5000 inmates, some of whom had been brought in from places as far as Singapore and Sumatra, Indonesia.
